National Contact Points (NCP)

The Sixth Review Conference of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) in 2006 decided that each State Parties should designate a national contact point (NCP) for:
• Coordinating national implementation of the Convention and communicating with other States Parties and relevant international organizations;• Preparing the submission of confidence-building measures;• Facilitating information exchange on universalization efforts.
The Conference requested States Parties to inform the Implementation Support Units (ISU) of the details of the NCP(s).As mandated by the Conference, the ISU has continued to collect and update details of NCPs and to make their contact details available to all States Parties. This website reflects the information provided to date by States Parties on their NCPs.
